PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amine derivative of general formula (2) (R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently H, a (halogen-substituted)alkyl, a (halogen-substituted)alkoxy, phenyl or phenoxy; and R<SP>3</SP>is an alkyl) in high yield. SOLUTION: The method for the production of the amine derivative expressed by general formula (2) comprises the reaction of a compound of general formula (1) (definitions of R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are the same as those described above) with hydrogen and ammonia in an alcohol solvent in the presence of a molybdenum-containing Raney nickel catalyst.
