PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of overhead in communications even when a new image output control protocol is used.

SOLUTION: Between an image supply apparatus 2 and an image output apparatus 1, control information including a control command relating to an image output is exchanged via a communication path 3. When a binary control command is made correspondent to a generated markup control command, a first transmitting means 51d transmits the binary control command to a binary transmitting/receiving means 51e. When the binary control command is not corresponding thereto, a second transmitting means 51c transmits the markup control command to the binary transmitting/receiving means 51e as data.
