<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a three-dimensional measuring system for tooth model in which noncontact three-dimensional measurement of a tooth model is made and the measurements are stored in a computer in the form of a digital data while allowing reproduction of tooth model easily by providing means for three- dimensional measurement, storage and reproduction. SOLUTION: Impression of the upper and lower jaws of a patient is taken by a known impression to produce a tooth model 10 which is then secured to a table 14. A drive means 16 moves the table 14 in the X-direction and drives a slit light to scan the tooth model 10. Under that state, a light source detecting section 17 detects the coordinate of image plate and the luminance data of a slight light image on each scanning line of video signal delivered from an image pickup section 12 while subjected the data to A/D conversion. Based on the detected data, a data generating section 18 generates a digital data representative of the shape of tooth model 10. The digital data is read out in real time by means of a read/write means 4 built in a CPU 20 and written onto a hard disc 6.</p> |
