DYNAMICAL POWER SAVING DEVICE FOR MCU EQUIPPED WITH MASKING PART, AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A dynamical power saving device for an MCU(Micro Controller Unit) and a method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption of the MCU by stopping operation of the MCU until a condition is satisfied if the MCU performs a loop operation and a polling operation for a specified external or internal signal. CONSTITUTION: A condition register(10) selects polling conditions to make the MCU(16) wait in a sleep mode. A multiplexer(11) selects one from the preset conditions by responding to output of the condition register. A polling register(12) determines whether the MCU waits in a state that an output signal of the multiplexer is logic-high or logic-low. An XOR operator(13) performs an XOR operation for the output of the polling register and the multiplexer. A masking part(14) masks a clock provided to the MCU in a waiting operation by providing a mask clock. A logic operator(15) controls the operation of the MCU by performing the logic operation for the output of the XOR operator and the mask clock.
