PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device capable of effectively utilizing abilities of a supercharger with an electric motor. SOLUTION: The control device of a supercharger with an electric motor is equipped with a supercharger 20 arranged on an intake passage 5 of an internal combustion engine 1 and driven by an electric motor 20a, supercharging pressure control means 16, 21 for controlling supercharging pressure by controlling the electric motor 20a, operating state detecting means 27 for detecting the operating state of the internal combustion engine 1, and an upper limit setting means 16 for setting the superchargeable upper limit of supercharging pressure by the supercharger 20 on the basis of the operating state detected by the operating state detecting means 27. The supercharging pressure control means 16, 21 prohibit drive of the supercharger 20 in which the upper limit set by the upper limit setting means 16 is violated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
