PURPOSE: A method for controlling power of a GSM(Global System for Mobile Communication) terminal is provided to control power in consideration of a turn-on time of each block within a terminal by using TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) frame counter information during a call, thereby reducing unnecessary power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A system resets a frame counter value of a frame for starting a transmission or a reception to '0'. Whenever the frame counter value changes, the system applies a power-on signal to each block within the terminal after a preset delay time. The delay time of each block is produced by subtracting a turn-on time of each block from one frame time. |
