<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming system that maintain developer in an appropriate condition while reducing lowering of the speed of image formation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a rotary body to/from which a developer storage for storing developer of different colors are removable and which can be rotated. The image forming apparatus forms images on media with the developer stored in the developer storage attached to the rotary body. In the image forming apparatus which rotates the rotary body with a predetermined frequency when images are successively formed on media with monochrome developer, the predetermined frequency after the number of media on which the images are successively formed reaches a predetermined value is higher than the predetermined frequency assigned before the number of sheets reaches the predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
