PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount piezoelectric vibrator with excellent productivity and reliability and the entire structure of which can be downsized. SOLUTION: The surface mount piezoelectric vibrator is formed by fitting a package 1 inside which a piezoelectric vibrating element 5 is contained onto a mount base 6 on which a vibration control IC element 7 is mounted, and on the lower surface of which external terminals 9c are provided. A part of upper surfaces of the mount base 6 is located more outside than the lower surface of the package 1, first joining electrodes 8b provided on the lower surface of the package 1 are connected to second joining electrodes 9b provided on the upper surface of the mount base via conductive joining members 11, and a part of the conductive joining members 11 is attached to the side face of the package 1 to form fillets F by the conductive joining members 11 from the side faces of the package 1 over the upper surface of the mount base 6.
