<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric converter in which a high thermoelectric conversion efficiency can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: The converter comprises a dehydrogenation reactor for generating hydrogen and acetone by performing a dehydrogenation endothermic reaction of isopropyl alcohol in the presence of dehydrogenation catalyst and the heat from a heat source; and an auxiliary fuel cell for generating power by electrochemically reacting hydrogen with acetone generated by the reactor.
