PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio amplifier by which quick start is available even if making soft starting to the audio amplifier to avoid an inrush current. SOLUTION: An inverter generates an alternating current by switching a rectified commercial power source by means of switching clock to flow the alternating current to the primary of a transformer for voltage transformation. Immediately after turning on the power source, the duty ratio of the switching clock is increased exponentially.
