PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a digital color proof capable of representing the difference of finish caused by the difference of print paper sheets and capable of representing finish of printed matter using a distinctive feature by making the conditions such as a dot density variable, and to efficiently perform proofing of high picture quality and high reproducibility corresponding to various printing conditions from a small quantity of measurement data.

SOLUTION: An image information processing apparatus is provided with: a parameter operating means 9 for measuring the characteristic of a color of target printed matter 2 and changing measured values, namely ink conditions and an overprint state, in accordance with conditions set by a GUI means 200; a rendering means 10 for changing the conditions of a paper quality; and a mechanical difference correcting means for correcting a temporal change or the like. The image information processing apparatus obtains a color correction table (density data) obtained by changing the measured value or adding a value to the measured value, and easily performs various kinds of data conversion such as conversion from density data into the quantity of light of a proof image output device.
