PURPOSE: A brake system of a car door checker is provided to open and close a door easily by controlling the operation of a door checker according to the level ground or a ramp. CONSTITUTION: The brake system of a car door checker contains: a ramp sensor unit(20) detecting a gradient of a road and outputting the proportional electric signals; a door switch(24) detecting the opening and closing state of a car door(10) and outputting the relevant state signals; a door checker(28), whose one end is fixed to a car body and the other end is provided with a stopper, provided with screw threads; a door checker brake unit(26) installed adjacently to the door checker(28), operated by control signals and coupled with the screw threads to limit the movement of the door checker(28); and a Micom(22) outputting control signals to the door checker brake unit(26) after checking the state of a ramp using the signals inputted from the ramp sensor unit(20) and the door switch(24).
