KNEE PROTECTION AIRBAG DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee protection airbag device capable of protecting an airbag even when a developing and inflating airbag contacts an accessory connected to a key.

SOLUTION: This knee protection airbag device S comprises the airbag 40 stored and held in a case 13 below a steering column 2 in front of a driver D. When inflating gas is supplied, the airbag 40 completes development and inflation with protruding from the case 13 to the vehicle rearward side and rising and protects the knee K of the driver D. The airbag 40 comprises a cover 48 covering the vehicle rearward side of a region near a key cylinder 6 when completing development and inflation near the upper edge side. The airbag 48 also comprises a flexible reinforcement cloth 53 arranged on a contact portion 49 to the accessory A of the key E inserted into the key cylinder 6 in the vicinity of the cover 48.
