The pipe connection comprises a muff element (138) for entry of a pipe (8) and inside of which and in the radial direction outside the fitted pipe is a claw element (126,128) with at least one and especially four claws (134) for retention of the pipe. The claw element has at least two claw rows (142) which are offset in the axial direction of the pipe. The two claw rows are interconnected in one piece. The claws of one axially outer row are tangentially offset to the claws of an axially inner row.
