PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life watching system capable of detecting an abnormality which occurs in the house of a watching object such as an aged person according to the living state of each aged person, and reporting it to a service user. SOLUTION: The watching center 20 of this life watching system 10 comprises a host computer 21 for realizing control of the whole server and calculating function and reporting function of a parameter, a data input and output control part 22 connected to a network 40 to perform transmitting and receiving of data or the like, and a management database 25 for accumulating individual life information of the aged person that is the object of watching, the information being calculated by use of statistic and mathematic techniques. The host computer 21 calculates the life information of each aged person by use of statistic and mathematical techniques from data of the object aged person and an abnormality reporting parameter for every object of watching by use of statistic and mathematic techniques, and transmits them to an in-home device 10. In the in-home device 10, an abnormality generated in the watching house is detected based on the parameter calculated for every aged person and sensor information, and reported to a watcher's house 30.
