PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital copying machine for satisfying its functions with an optimum (minimum) configuration through the provision of a revise means that optionally revises a generated position of an operation initiation start signal with respect to a line period signal by matching a transfer start position of image data of a plurality of lines transferred from upstream with a system operating mode. SOLUTION: The digital copying machine A having a storage means for storing image data of a plurality of lines transferred from an upstream image edit processing apparatus, feeding the plurality of stored image data to an image edit block and applying image edit to a target line, includes a function of capable of revising the generated position with respect to the line period signal by allowing a built-in central processing unit 7 to match the transfer start position of the image data of the plurality of lines transferred from the upstream with the system operating mode.
