摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle opening control device for an internal combustion engine capable of suitably controlling an air quantity to the internal combustion engine to a desired flow rate even after the adhesion of a deposit. SOLUTION: When throttle opening control is started, an engine speed, an actual air quantity and throttle opening are read. After that, necessary throttle opening corresponding to the engine speed and a load condition are calculated (step 106) and the offset of a full-close set angle is calculated by subtracting the necessary throttle opening from current throttle opening (step 108). The full close set angle is calculated by adding the offset of the full-close set angle and the initial full-close set angle of the throttle valve. Target throttle opening is calculated by subtracting the initial full-close set angle from throttle opening calculated by referring to a flow rate characteristic map corresponding to the calculated full-close set angle (step 110).
