PURPOSE:To improve the storage stability of an undeveloped color part and a developed color image and to obtain the touch near to that of plain paper by adding at least one kind of a specific aromatic carboxylic acid derivative or a metal salt thereof as an electron acceptive compd. contained in a thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a thermal recording layer containing an electron donating color forming compd. and an electron acceptive compd. and a protective layer are provided on a support, as the electron acceptive compd., a compd. represented by formula (wherein X1, X2 and X3 are a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group or a nitro group, R1 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aralkyl group or an aryl group and R2 is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aralkyl group or an aryl group) is contained. Therefore, the thermal recording material excellent in the storage stability of an undeveloped color part and a developed color image and having the touch near to that of plain paper can be obtained. |
