The doctor blade system (1) has two doctor blades (4) facing toward each other, touching the surface of the half-tone printing roller (2) and held in clamps (5). The doctor blades define an ink chamber (3) in conjunction with the roller. The doctor blade carrier (7-9) has a shaft (10) allowing the blades to be swiveled away from the roller and has a hand-lever (15) on a swivel mounting (14,16).
