GAS SENSOR MODULE WITH CONTACTLESS INTERFACE

The inventive gas sensor module comprises an elementary sensor for detecting a gas concentration; a digital data memory for storing sensor data or process data; and an interface for connection to a higher order unit for supplying the gas sensor module with power and for exchanging data between the gas sensor module and the higher order unit. The interface is a contactless interface. The inventive converter module for operating at least one gas sensor module according to the above claims comprises a contactless interface for exchanging data with the gas sensor module and for supplying the gas sensor module with power, and a communication circuit for outputting at least one signal which is dependent upon measuring data.
