SHEET CARRYING DEVICE WITH SHEET TANGLE PREVENTING MEANS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper tangle caused by a collision between a rear end of a preceding paper sheet and a tip end of following paper sheet, in a speed reducing step for shortening a clearance between the paper sheets. SOLUTION: The paper carrying device 1 eliminates a deficit sheet from discrete sheets during carrying to stack the paper sheet. In the paper carrying device 1, two speed reducing carrying portions gradually shorten the clearance between the paper sheets and make the paper sheets overlap each other, and the second speed reducing carrying portion 6 (and/or the first speed reducing carrying portion 5) is provided with a paper tangle preventing means. A front end of the paper sheet PNfollowing the deficit sheet sheet PO(or the preceding paper sheet PM) is sucked upward by the paper tangle preventing means (a suction nozzle N), and the above mentioned sucking action is released when a part of the paper sheet PNoverlaps on the preceding paper sheet PM.
