<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular headlight capable of appropriately projecting infrared light in front of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular head lamp used for a vehicle is characterised by being provided with a light source for infrared light for generating a red light and an infrared light, a light source for visible light for generating a visible light having a wavelength different from that of the red light, an optical member for irradiating the red light and the visible light on nearly same irradiation region in front of the vehicle, and a lighting circuit which lights the light source for infrared light and the light source for visible light by an intensity at which the chromaticity in the irradiation region based on the red light and the visible light becomes a white light in the range defined in advance in the chromaticity coordinate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
