PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treating equipment which can remove more efficiently dregs floating in a waste water, a waste water treating equipment which can remove more efficiently sand content contained in the waste water, further, in a state of not containing any dregs for recovery, and further, a waste water treating equipment of a small size in place of the conventional sand basin, having a high efficiency and high performance. SOLUTION: In the waste water treating equipment 1, a stagnating portion 2, and its upstream passage 3 and downstream passage 4 are connected substantially in a U-shaped form from the plane view. The stagnating portion 2 has a sand settling pit 5 in which a bottom portion is dug down, and further a rotating cylinder 6 in the center. At the upstream passage 3, a fine mesh screen 8 is plain placed substantially in a horizontal state along the flow of the waste water and on its upstream side a movable submerged weir 9 is provided.
