The loading machine loads e.g. a pallet of packs forming a loading stack. It has handling and support devices (52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57) which support the pallet from below throughout the entire loading operation from the feed device (51) to the loading stack. The pallets can be set down anywhere desired. The quality of the packing material is immaterial.
