PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional one-leg headrest structure which comprises a single mounting fork, a flat plate provided in the fork and a head cover installed over the fork and the plate, and has a simple one-leg mechanism having a possibility of rotated by an impact and having insufficiently strength. SOLUTION: This headrest is constituted of an independent type flat cylindrical holder means fixed to a frame of a seat back, a support provided in the holder means, a headrest stay provided in the support and a stopper determining the position of the headrest stay and securing its fixed state, into one-leg type. The headrest is so formed that the flat form of the holder means enables the one-leg mechanism of the headrest support and the independent type flat form of the holder means can prevent the rotation of the headrest support.
