PURPOSE: A structure for preventing a collision of an intake valve for a reciprocating compressor is provided to restrict collision noise between valves or the breakage of the valves caused by shock by preventing the intake valve suddenly opened from colliding with a discharge valve by a valve receiving groove formed on the pressure surface of the discharge valve opposite to the intake valve. CONSTITUTION: A structure for preventing a collision of an intake valve for a reciprocating compressor is composed of a reciprocating motor supported by a frame to rectilinearly reciprocate a mover; a cylinder(41) fixed to the frame; a piston(42) connected to the reciprocating motor to reciprocate rectilinearly in the cylinder; the intake valve fixed to the front section of the piston to open and close an intake passage of the piston; a discharge valve(100) detachably arranged to the front section of the cylinder to face the intake valve and form a compression space; a resonant spring for elastically supporting and resonating the mover of the reciprocating motor and the piston; and a valve receiving groove(111) formed on a pressure surface of the discharge valve to receive an opening and closing unit(43b) in opening the opening and closing unit of the intake valve.
