PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion apparatus capable of preventing safety from being impaired even if the dripping of unburned fuel and fuel leakage occur. SOLUTION: In this combustion apparatus 1, an exhaust part 5 exhausting burned gas to the outside is installed under a combustion part 2 where liquid fuel injected from a fuel injection nozzle 36 to a lower side is burned. A temperature detection sensor 11 detecting flame based on a detected temperature is installed at the exhaust collecting part 7 of the exhaust part 5. When the temperature detection sensor 11 detects flame during post purge, a control means 65 stops a blower 35 to extinguish flame inside the exhaust collecting part 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
