<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight stereoscopic adapter for photographing an object at a far distance at a wide angle, and a distance image input device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic adapter 101 attached to the front of the imaging optical system 102A of an imaging apparatus 102 in order to take a stereoscopic picture is constituted of: an optical path splitting device 11 receiving light from the same object by a plurality of parts separated at a specified distance and guiding the received light to the imaging optical system of the imaging apparatus; and a plurality of wide conversion lenses 101C for reducing the received luminous flux, and the imaging apparatus is installed between the plurality of wide conversion lenses. Then, the distance image input device 100 is constituted of the stereoscopic adapter, the imaging apparatus and a distance image processor 103 performing processing including three-dimensional reconstitution from the stereoscopic picture taken by the imaging apparatus and providing three-dimensional distance information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
