<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail mounting apparatus which can shift a device in the longitudinal direction of the rail even after the device has been fitted to the rail in accordance with application mode of device, and can also prevent shift of the device in the longitudinal direction of the rail even after the device has been fitted to the rail. <P>SOLUTION: One fitting piece 41 of the rail 4 is held with a stopper pawl 12 provided to the device 1, while the other fitting piece 41 is held with a slider 2. The slider 2 is provided with a first slide member 20 which is in contact at the surface with the other fitting piece 41 to hold the other fitting piece 41 with the internal bottom surface of the concave part 11 for fitting the rail, and a second slide member 30 which is in contact at the point with the other fitting piece 41 to hold the other fitting piece 41 with the internal bottom surface of the concave part 11 for fitting the rail.
