<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply for emergency capable of smoothly switching power supply from an inverter 6 to a generator 11, even if the voltage waveform of the generator 11 is distorted. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply for emergency is composed of an uninterruptible power supply comprising a charger 4, a battery 5, the inverter 6, a UPS switch 8, and a CPU1, as well as the generator 11. Just after blackout, the power from the battery 5 is converted into an AC power with the inverter 6, and then the generator 11 is activated. The CPU1 measures the output waveform from the inverter 6 and that from the generator 11. If the output waveforms are not synchronized with each other, it controls the inverter 6 for synchronization. If the output waveform of the inverter 6 is not synchronized with that of the generator 11 after a prescribed period, the output from the inverter 6 is shielded for a prescribed period by the UPS switch 8, and then switched to the output from the generator 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
