<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint allowing a worker to easily connect a male joint to a female joint while reducing residual pressure, if remaining, without escaping it to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: A first on-off valve 3 of the female joint A and a first on-off valve 33 of the male joint B are constituted by poppet valves 4, 34 and built-in valve 6, 36, respectively. When the male joint B is inserted into the female joint A, an inside passage 5 of the first poppet valve 4 of the female joint A is communicated with an inside passage 35 of the second poppet valve 34 of the male joint B. The first built-in valve 6 of the female joint A and the built-in valve 36 of the male joint B are moved to counter connection sides and opened, and then the first and second poppet valves 4, 34 have abutment with each other and are moved to the mutually counter connection sides to put the first and second on-off valves 3, 33 into opened conditions, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
