SETTOP BOX WITH BUILT-IN CABLE MODEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that many hours were required to detect a channel for a cable modem which is effective to a own machine in a settop box with a built-in cable modem. SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiving part tunes in to a channel within an allocated frequency band to detect whether to have a television broadcast signal, and if the channel has no television broadcast signal, the channel is stored in a cable modem channel candidate storing part. When a cable modem part is tuned, the cable modem part is tuned by using information of the channel stored in the cable modem channel candidate storing part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
