<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight protective clothing having superior bulletproof performance, lunge-proof performance and knife blade-proof performance, and having flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: This protective clothing has a laminated body (first sheet 14 composed of woven fabric of PBO fiber and second sheet 16 made out of polyarylate felt) made out of the fiber of high strength and having tensile strength of 17cN/dtex or more and tensile elastic modulus of 450 cN/dtex or more, and a metallic mesh layer 22 formed between the sheets 14, 16. The metallic mesh layer 22 has the flexibility, a wire diameter of a metallic wire material is at least about 0.3 mm or more, and a diameter of a mesh is about 15 mm or less.
