PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a data processing device having a selective data cache structure and a computer system including it. SOLUTION: This data processing device includes a microprocessor, a coprocessor, a MCU data cache, an X-data cache, and Y-data cache. The microprocessor fetches an instruction word to execute it, while the coprocessor executes a digital signal processing DSP function. The MCU data cache stores data processed by the microprocessor.
