PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of mitigating the load for correction processing, along with detecting trash/scratches surely. SOLUTION: Invisible light is irradiated on a manuscript to generate invisible light image data, while visible light is irradiated on the manuscript to generate visible light image data. Based on the generated invisible light image data, the size of trash/scratches on the manuscript is distinguished.
