PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the polygonal rotary sorting cylinder of a grain sorting machine high in sorting precision which eliminates the influence of distortion by thermal modification by the spot welding of polymerization parts mutually polymerized in a ridgeline part from a welding part and holds the scale spacing of selection holes in the vicinity of it at a prescribed value. SOLUTION: In the polygonal rotary sorting cylinder 1, perforated plates 2 constituting its polygonal cylinder surface are mutually polymerized in the ridgeline part 3, and the polymerization parts are welded. The perforated plates 2 adjoining each other in the ridgeline part 3 forms an elbow part 4 with their end parts arranged along mutual faces. The outside elbow part 4 of one of the perforated plates 2 mutually polymerized in the ridgeline part 3 is spot-welded to the other perforated plate 2 to constitute the polygonal rotary sorting cylinder 1 of an octagonal cylinder.
