PURPOSE: Melanin biosynthesis inhibitors and free radical scavengers from Eupencillium shearii. F80695 and use thereof are provided, thereby whitening the skin and inhibiting aging, so that they can be useful in medicines and cosmetics. CONSTITUTION: The phenolic isonitrile-based compound having melanin biosynthesis inhibiting activity and free radical scavenging activity, derived from Eupencillium shearii. F80695, and represented by formula (I) is provided, wherein the phenolic isonitrile-based compound is Melanosin A. The phenolic isonitrile-based compound having melanin biosynthesis inhibiting activity and free radical scavenging activity, derived from Eupencillium shearii. F80695, and represented by formula (II) is provided, wherein the phenolic isonitrile-based compound is Melanosin B. The phenolic isonitrile-based compound having melanin biosynthesis inhibiting activity and free radical scavenging activity, derived from Eupencillium shearii. F80695, and represented by formula (III) is provided, wherein the phenolic isonitrile-based compound is Melanosin C. The phenolic isonitrile-based compound having melanin biosynthesis inhibiting activity and free radical scavenging activity, derived from Eupencillium shearii.
