PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of making an automatic re-search at timing on which information up to input operation for a re-search in a manual re-search mode is reflected, and capable of making the automatic re-search at timing more appropriate to a user than a conventional one. SOLUTION: The navigation system provided with a re-searching means which comprises the manual re-search mode for re-searching a guide route to a destination on the basis of specified input operation, and an automatic re-search mode for automatically re-searching a guide route when the user deviates from a guide route to the destination, is equipped with a re-search operation information storage means and an automatic re-search start condition determination means. The re-search operation information storage means stores specified information from the deviation from the guide route up to the specified input operation, when the manual re-search mode is set. The automatic re-search start condition determination means determines a start condition for an automatic re-search, on the basis of the specified information stored in the storage means.
