PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material having remarkable imposingness and workability and provided with a water-proof function, a heat insulating function, a dew-condensation preventing function and a snow stopper function. SOLUTION: This roof material A is formed with a male-female connection structure having the fit-in structure in a side edge thereof in the cross direction. A tip of a decorative surface 4 upstream in the water flowing direction is formed with: an engaging water-proof piece 13 projected upward; a water-proof piece 13a formed by projecting a tip of the engaging water-proof piece 13 downward in the water flowing direction; a top surface 14 formed by projecting a root of the engaging water-proof piece 13 downward in the water flowing direction; and a fixed piece 15 formed by suspending a tip of the top surface 14 downward and projecting the suspended tip upstream in the water flowing direction. A tip of the decorative surface 4 downstream in the water flowing direction is formed with: a vertical piece 6a projected upward, a stepped decorative surface 6 projected downward; a projecting piece 6b formed by projecting a tip of the vertical piece 6a upstream in the water flowing direction; a most depth piece 8 formed by projecting a part of the decorative surface 4 near the downstream tip in the water flowing direction downward; and an insert piece 9 formed by projecting a tip of the most depth piece 8 downstream in the water flowing direction.
