METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ANODE GEL FOR ALKALINE BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a homogeneous mixture of good anode gel for an alkaline battery efficiently without deteriorating the properties of the zinc powder contained in the anode gel. SOLUTION: This method uses a mixer 10 including a mixing vessel 20 which has a concentric inner space around the central axis of the vessel and a coaxially arranged mixing rotator 30 which is rotated around the axis of the vessel. Materials for the anode and alkali electrolyte to be mixed are continuously supplied from supply ports 42 and 44 formed in the upper side of the rotator and the mixture of the anode gel is continuously ejected from the outlet 46 under it.
