ENCAPSULATED-LENS RETROREFLECTIVE SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encapsulated-lens retroreflective sheet having further better structural integrated property than a sheet obtained by conventional techniques.

SOLUTION: The encapsulated-lens retroreflective sheet comprises a binder layer in which substantially a single layer of lenses is partially embedded, a specularly reflective layer underlying the lenses, and a cover film which seals the binder layer along mesh-like bonding lines to form hermetically sealed cells in which the lenses are encapsulated and in contact with air. The specularly reflective layer is not present on the binder layer between the lenses.
