A bus-bar station has a bus-bar (1) with several outputs (2a-2f) for HV connections, where the outputs are protected by protection switches (3a-3f) and each protection circuit has a protection switch (5) a control (10) for controlling the protection switch and a measurement device for measuring at least one status/state variable of the respective output. At least one part of the controls (10) has a connection to each at least one protection switch (5) of another protection circuit, via which the switch-off signal can be transmitted during a control (10) fault of the other protection circuit. An independent claim is included for a method of control of protection switches.
