PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the number of kinds which exceeds the number of kind detection holes provided to a cartridge body. SOLUTION: The information recording medium cartridge 1 is provided with an information detecting means 10 for detecting various kinds of information regarding the accommodated disk 2. The information detection means 1 is provided with the plurality of detection holes 11-13 provided to the cartridge body 5 and a detection member 14, which is movably attached into the cartridge body 5 and which moves between a first position overlapping with the plurality of detection holes 11-13 and a second position which does not overlap the detection holes 11-13.
