PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an alignment defect of a liquid crystal produced by a difference in level corresponding to a property of the liquid crystal. SOLUTION: A moiety corresponding to an intermediate part between the neighboring pixel electrodes (9a) is provided with a rising part (301) on the liquid crystal side surface. A direction of an inclination of a taper on a rising part side face and a direction of an inclination of a pretilt angle of the liquid crystal 50 are aligned with each other.
