PURPOSE: A universal image processing device for a digital TV monitor is provided to optimally combine various image processing functions, and to convert a format by inputting a digital image signal as well as an analog TV signal, thereby effectively displaying various kinds of input images. CONSTITUTION: The first image input portion(101) converts image data to easily display the data. The second image input portion(102) inputs other images to convert a format of the images, to easily display the images. An after-treatment portion(103) configures PIP(Picture In Picture), POP(Picture out of Picture), and split screens by using the image data, synthesizes with OSD images, and outputs a final image. A host interface(104) controls the first and second image input portions(101,102) and the after-treatment portion(103). A synchronous signal generator(105) extracts a synchronous signal, and generates various displaying signals. A memory interface(108) interfaces with a memory.
