A method for telemetric acquisition of measurement data of a number of vehicles in which the measured data for analysis and evaluation is transmitted by RF to a mobile control station located in a vehicle and the measurement data of each vehicle is temporarily stored in an on-board control station of the vehicle by cyclic polling of the on-board stations by the control station. An independent claim is included for a system for carrying out the method.
