PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem with a conventional induction heating cooker, in which poor thermal response prevents accurate control. SOLUTION: The induction heating cooker comprises a top plate 21 formed of a non-magnetic body for placing a cooking vessel 20 thereon, a heating coil 22 provided under the top plate 21 for generating an induction magnetic field, a heating coil base 23 for holding the heating coil 22, control means 24 for controlling power supplied to the heating coil 22, and radiation temperature detection means 26 for detecting the temperature of the bottom surface of the cooking vessel 20 through the top plate 21. The radiation temperature detection means 26 is provided in the heating coil base 23 holding the heating coil 22 to detect the temperature of the heating center part of the cooking vessel 20, enabling accurate temperature control.
