<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly display right eye image data and left eye image data. <P>SOLUTION: An image output apparatus (30) receives serial data. The serial data includes the right eye image data (1-i) (i=1,2,3,...,m) to which right eye identification signals (5-i; i=1,2,3,...,m) are attached and the left eye image data (2-i) to which left eye identification signals (6-i) are attached. The image output apparatus (30) outputs the right eye image data (1-i) in response to the right eye identification signals (5-i) to a display apparatus (40) and outputs the left eye image data (2-i) in response to the left eye identification signals (6-i) to the display apparatus (40) to control the display apparatus (40) so that the display apparatus displays the right eye image data (1-i) and the left eye image data (2-i).
