PURPOSE:To allow the recorder to detect accurately a pattern indicating sensing of shortage of ink and jammed recording paper recorded at a tail end of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:In the facsimile equipment comprising a facsimile section 100 sending data in response to received picture data and a printer section 200 jetting drops of ink according to data sent from the facsimile section 100 and recording the picture, a CPU 1 controlling the facsimile section sends data in response to a predetermined pattern at the tail end of the picture data of one page to the printer section and sends a paper discharge command. Upon the receipt of the paper discharge command after recording the prescribed pattern, a CPU 2 of the printer section implements paper discharge and sends a signal to start detecting the prescribed pattern to the CPU 1 after the recording paper is carried up to a predetermined position. The CPU 1 receives a detection signal from the photo sensor 13. The CPU 2 is used to carry the recording paper and sends a signal of end of the prescribed pattern detection to the CPU 1 in an out-equipment discharge timing. |
