摘要 A method for forming and aligning an optical structure includes depositing a polymer-based droplet upon a substrate and creating a gradient of surface tension at a droplet/substrate interface between the droplet and the substrate, so as to cause the droplet to move to a desired position on the substrate. The wettability of the substrate is adjusted so as to configure the shape of the droplet to have desired optical properties. The droplet is cured, thereby affixing the droplet at the desired position and with the desired optical properties.
